New Years Postcards

I wanted to start 2022 with a bang. I liked the concept of revisiting the same prompt yearly, both to one-up my skills, but also as a keepsake and portal into the kind of work I was doing that year. I decided to create a series of postcards to include with my Christmas card photo to set the tone for my friends and family’s 2022. Plus making art for your friends and family just feels good. The prompt was: Set the tone for 2022 with a kick ass, can-do attitude. For extra fun, my 80’s inspired Christmas card photo is at the end.

DOUBLE bonus: 2023’s holiday card. I decided to forgo postcards and go all in on our holiday card production. Design was inspired by spaghetti westerns, classic slab serif typefaces, and wanted posters aesthetics.
